Laura Schmitt

Laura is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Ohio State University and director of the Sports Rehabilitation and Recovery Laboratory. As a Physical Therapist, Laura's clinical experience is in orthopaedics and sports medicine with a particular emphasis in pediatrics and young adults. Her research efforts aim to understand neuromuscular control of the knee, as related to optimizing outcomes following musculoskeletal knee injury and mitigating risk of knee osteoarthritis. In particular, her work focuses on the development of evidence-based rehabilitation guidelines and strategies for return to activity following knee injury.

Stephanie Di Stasi

Stephanie is an assistant professor in the Division of Physical Therapy at The Ohio State University and research scientist in the Sports Medicine Research Institute at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Di Stasi has more than 10 years of experience designing and implementing clinical rehabilitation trials and using motion analysis technologies to understand how biomechanical factors influence function for patients with lower extremity injuries. Specifically, she works to identify the movement and muscle function impairments that negatively affect patient outcomes in order to develop effective rehabilitation strategies. Dr. Di Stasi has been a practicing physical therapist since 2003 and is committed to bringing technology to practice in a way that optimizes patient outcomes through informed, interdisciplinary clinical decision-making.
